Colourful and intriguing

I happened to be in Acapulco visiting my family when I saw this mini-series. I found it to be gripping and hard to miss. I began to organise my days in order to return for the afternoon showing. Basically, the story revolves around a rich girl who is engaged to somebody else, but falls in love with a gypsy. In order to take him away from his sweetheart, the family of his rival arrange for him to be sent to an island prison. He has to escape and regain the love he has lost. I will leave it up to you to decide whether he manages to do this. All in all a wonderful series which has colour, action, adventure, love, and intrigue, a winner!

Wish more people watched this

Warning: Spoilers
I knew this would be good cause it's got the reputation for it. Seeing as this one's been adapted a few times. Honestly wish I could see a comeback of it. And I seriously need more people to talk to about whether I imagined it's increasingly suspicious similarities to Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo. Hey, if I didn't imagine it it works in it's favor anyway! Power to it, I think it pulls it off. Needed more revenge suspense in the later half. Pacing all over the place. Warning: Novela amnesia act that doesn't move the background pieces as visibly as I personally would have recommended.

And can we talk about the dreamiest guy in it? No not that one. I'm talking about Dino. I will die on this hill.
