A Must For Nikki Fritz Fans!
refinedsugar13 October 2023
You get 10 seconds worth of Nikki Fritz joy in 'A Low Down Dirty Shame'. She has a juicy part in 'Go' but I wanted a title that really featured her. My search lead down b-movie T&A alley. 'Witches of Breastwick 2' was a joke. 'The Bare Wench Project' didn't satisfy. Then I read 'Sinful Obsession' was her show. Sign me up.

Zanthe (Fritz) is a housewife with a husband who takes her for granted sexually so when the idea gets planted to be a high class escort she jumps at it. There's initial hesitation & guilt, but then sexy times for her. The secret only turns ugly when a client starts becoming obsessive having forgot the cardinal rule that it's only a pleasurable transaction and nothing more.

I appreciate a decent story, but that's hard to come by in this genre. So if I had to choose between something that is boring / stupid or only serving to get to the good parts, I'll take the latter every time. That's the case here. Well worn formula - one note characters / story - but delivers where you want it to most. The first sex scene happens quick and it's on point. Lots of dream sequences.

Three other ladies in the cast (two fellow escorts, the madam) get naked, but Nikki gets the most focus. Lots of moaning, unique emphasis on Fritz receiving oral sex. I must have watched the unrated version as muff made multiple appearances. If you find yourself searching for a really good Nikki Fritz title that does the late woman justice, 'Sinful Obsession' is a winner.

Lots of graphic sex. Hot women. What else can you ask for?!
insomniac_rod6 January 2007
This is another spectacular soft core sex movie starring the marvelous, sexy, Nikki Fritz.

Well I'm glad to say that this movie has plenty of good, graphic sex. Please be sure to get the unrated version.

When there's a lot of sex and kinky situations you know you are watching something really good.

Most of the time all the hot female actresses wear skimpy clothes to catch the attention of the viewer. And the sex scenes are extremely hot. Expect some Nikki Fritz in all of her glory, plus scenes involving oral sex given to a woman, a hot menage a trois, and many steamy female/male action.

The rest of the women are really beautiful and deliver sexy performances on the sex scenes; which are very graphic and contain lots of sexy moans.

One of the best from the great Nikki. If you catch it on cable, please be sure to watch it!!

Nikki Fritz is the center of attention.....I give it a B-.
Smooth B3 January 2003
I've seen this movie many times, and it's safe to say that it's of Nikki Fritz's better movies.

Nikki is Zanthe, a character very similar to Michelle von Flotow's character in "Dark Passion" or Mia's character in "Sinful Temptations". How similar? Zanthe is a bored housewife, married to a successful business-type guy; simply put, a one-dimensional character. However, Nikki's acting adds some depth to her character. It sure wasn't the script; the storylines were awful.

The movie starts out with Zanthe screwing her husband's brains out (a very nice scene). When they're finished, the husband says, "I thought I married this nice Midwestern girl, and it turns out she's a nympho." Zanthe replies, "What's wrong with that?" Yeah....what IS wrong with that, anyway?? A nice Midwestern girl that knows what to do in the sack....well, let's just say they're few and far between.

Zanthe's insatiable sexual appetite draws her to a brothel, where she begins working as a call girl while her husband is at work. As she starts getting regular customers, she happens upon a man who seems to have quite an attachment to her. They meet at the house frequently for sex, but it seems the guy is mistaking Zanthe doing her job for actual affection. In short, he's fallen in love with her. Zanthe does her best to say no, but the guy won't take no for an answer. This is the "obsession" part of the movie's title, I suppose.

The rest of the movie falls into place after this. Soon, Zanthe's husband finds out what she's been doing, and after the initial shock, the focus turns to stopping the man who's been tormenting her and won't leave her alone.

An OK film, with Nikki's sex scenes powering the movie. The story is fairly weak but capable of moving the story along.

Women: B+ (Nikki Fritz, Nikki Fritz and even more Nikki Fritz. It's the other women who lowered the grade here.)

Sex: B+ (The scenes were nice, and Nikki tossed her hair like a pro. However, it seems like she's the only one showing any enthusiasm in the sex scenes. Too bad.)

Story: F (The story was VERY weak. Why not just show Nikki with various guys in the brothel, at least that would have been more interesting.)

Overall: B- (The "F" in the Story category brings the overall grade down some. Nikki put on quite a show and singlehandedly saved this film.)

This Will Keep You Watching

Loaded with sexual scenes, this film will keep you wanting to see more. Nikki is simply beautiful with a great body. You wonder,if in fact they are actually having Sex. The story line is somewhat believable and interesting. This movie has been shown on Showtime several times in the late hours. If you like a good "RR" movie, then don't miss this one.

Actually a good plot
austin_sod7 January 2013
After recently watching the latest offering of softcore cinema these days, it made me flashback to one of the best softcore movies I'd seen in my past. I had to do some digging, but I eventually came across the movie here on IMDb.

Nikki Fritz was always one of my favorite softcore actresses, as it seemed to me that she actually gave a damn about the plot and actually tried to act. I'm so sick of the softcore movies nowadays that barely pay lip-service to the plot. This movie was actually nicely acted by Nikki. The reason this movie was so memorable to me was because of the plot of a bored housewife who turns to prostitution. I'm something of a sucker to a cheating housewife scenario, so the slow seduction Nikki goes through was very erotic.

Overall, I loved the cheating housewife plot and how it was acted out by the beautiful Nikki Fritz. If there are any complaints, it would be having us believe that Nikki is only 19 in this movie. Nikki is beautiful but she definitely looks her age.

NIKKI AT HER BEST
bazdol1 April 2001
She plays an unsatisfied housewife who takes a crack at working in a high class brothel to relieve her sexual frustration resulting from an indifferent husband. Nikki does her usual excellent acting job. I wish she had gone easier on the silicone though since I doubt if she needs it all that much. I liked Dana Robins who played "Sophie" although I see this is her only film.

Good and Bad... Definitely a Showcase for Nikki Fritz
TimeNTide21 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This review is based on viewing the unrated 92 minute Japanese DVD (English with Japanese subtitles). IMDb currently indicates that this film is rated R (USA) for a 90 minute version, which I have trouble believing. I think there was a much shorter R rated version released initially, but judging from the other user comments, they probably also saw a longer unrated (or USA:TV-MA rated) version. The longer versions are definitely full-on softcore, not the R rated teaser stuff.

There's lots to like and dislike in this softcore flick. After viewing lots of MRG Entertainment's recent flicks which are often nothing but a handful of people sitting around a house spewing dialogue written merely to introduce inserted sex scenes, it was refreshing to go back and see one of their older flicks which actually made an attempt at being more like a real movie. This flick starts with a real song instead of the canned, reused instrumental music, and there are outdoor shots, location shots, shots inside moving cars, scenes with extras, and other things we don't see from MRG much anymore.

Plot: The basic plot (bored, unfulfilled housewife turns to working in a brothel) and the happy ending (lover becomes stalker, wife saved by husband/friend and realizes true love) have been done plenty of times before. However, the journey between the setup and climax is an unusual ride. The main character Zanthe (played by Nikki Fritz) displays symptoms of schizophrenia and other mental disorders. There are numerous instances where a whole scene or parts of a scene turn out to be a dream, a fantasy, or a full blown hallucination of Zanthe... complete with the "Gotcha!" transition. At one point in the film she appropriately says, "I gotta get a hold of myself!".

Writing: Again... kudos for attempt a real plot. Yet, there is some really bad and inconsistent writing here which had me rolling my eyes on several occasions. First, both the customers and employees of the brothel did things which would immediately get them kicked out of the place in real life (e.g. customer insisting on knowing the real full name of one of the girls). Second, there were numerous occasions where a character spoke dialogue which was completely inconsistent with things which had happened in previous scenes. Example: one guy states that "money is no object", which is evidenced by the fact that he visits a high class brothel every day, yet in a later scene he's spewing dialogue about getting dropped because he's poor. And one character seriously says, "Trust me, I'm a lawyer".

Acting: Overall, very good for a softcore flick. Nikki Fritz is very good as the unbalanced lead, and Burke Morgan is flat out excellent. Only Julia Kruis (who's always a weak actress) turns in a inconsistent performance. Everett Rodd is effectively very creepy in his role, and since I've never seen him before I don't know if he's great at playing creepy, or if his awkward delivery of lines just worked out to make it seem that way.

Sex scenes: There's around a dozen simulated sex scenes of varying lengths and quality, but most of them are good or at least average. Per usual, there's a little girl/girl, solo, threesome and voyeurism thrown in for variety. It's definitely a showcase for Nikki Fritz, who's in most of the scenes. I've always liked Nikki, both as an actress and a softcore performer, except for the overstretched, low quality fake tits. The other three girls get to participate in a couple of scenes each. Julia Kruis and Raquel Devine are both lovely and have better quality fakes. And rarely used softcore actress Dana Robbins is unbelievably cute, and natural. On the Japanese DVD, there is some light blurring of crotch shots, but it's otherwise full blown softcore.

Overall... this one has it's good and bad, but worth a watch... and a must see for Nikki Fritz fans.
