Victoria Forde has determined to become an acclaimed authoress of the back country. This efforts appears to consist mainly of eating bonbons and annoying the locals with questions. One of the locals she annoys is Eddie Lyons, who's taking a break from city life, going around bare of foot if not of cheek, and fishing. He decides to play a joke on the pretty lady.
Although the final, snapper ending of this one-reel comedy is missing, the titles tell what happens. this one falls into the 'practical joke' variety of comedy short, which dated from the very earliest days of cinema but was now giving way before greater lengths and continuity demanded by those lengths. This one is handled in a straightforward manner. Although Lyons & Moran were already a comedy team of sorts, here Moran plays a purely supporting role, being the friend who lets Lyons stay in his cabin and eggs him on.
