A reminder of Playboy's age, 'Playmates Revisited' showcases former ladies in a novel concept. Seeing their original material from long ago followed by modern interviews & new scenes from 1998. That's the format. It's a reminder of the past when it came to how nudity was presented and a treat for vintage Playboy fans.
Kathy Shower - Playmate May 1985, PMOTY 1986 - starts things off. First in old material with her in a hot tub. Minimal nudity. Followed by a lengthy interview which showcases vintage footage of Hef, the Playboy mansion, her pictorial. It's a reoccurring theme. Finally in footage shot for 1998 (when this title came out) she gets naked in a bedroom surrounded by flowers or as pedals rain down on her. Many tracking shots over her nude body (11.5 mins total).
Cathy St. George - Playmate Aug 1982 - gets naked in material of that day in an overgrown field. Then the interview, pictorial & vintage material. In her new scene, she strips from a fur coat and poses on various furniture. They don't shy away from plenty of closeups (8 mins total).
India Allen - Playmate Dec 1987, PMOTY 1988 - shows much more nudity in her old material as she's naked on a bed. Her interview dealing with her b-movie origins is interesting. Her enjoyment of cigars loosely leads to the new scene where she strips in a luxury bedroom looking fantastic as the camera continues providing great closeups. This was my favorite scene of the entire video. What a stunner. (11 mins total).
Susie Scott - Playmate May 1983 - is naked on the floor in front of a lit fireplace. It provides constant nudity as she poses in place. Her interview focuses on her legit charity work. She has a good heart. Her new material doesn't run long, but she's featured in a heavy white cloth & breeze theme. More closeups which is never a bad thing (8.5 mins).
Ava Fabian - Playmate Aug 1986 - does a musical strip which going by the narrator was cutting edge for it's day. Her interview talks about being a co-owner in a restaurant. The new scene has her pose behind and in front of a metal fence on a set as a strobe light simulates lightening and rain comes down getting her wet. Her hands all over her body continues supplying satisfying closeups (9 mins total).
Cynthia Brimhall - Playmate Oct 1985 - is the only name I knew beforehand. Her old footage is her completely naked in the desert from the start. In her interview, she's honest about the difficulty she found in posing nude and enjoyable participation in those Andy Sidaris Babes & Bullets flicks. For the new, Cynthia finds herself in a boy/girl in bed with a lover. It gets off to a slow start, but gets better as the closeups roll out. She appears completely shaved & her boobs are much bigger in the present (9.5 mins total).
Barbara Edwards - Playmate Sept 1983, PMOTY 1984 - strips in older quality footage with her in a bunk bed naked from the start except for black stockings. A very risqué shot of her with legs spread for it's time. In her interview, she talks about the joy and difficulty in overcoming being naked for the camera. Her new appearance is a solid high energy number where Barbara goes from multiple pieces of clothing intercut with her nude. Coming as no shock she still has a fantastic figure 14 years after her first experience with Playboy (7 mins total).
Lillian Muller - Playmate Aug 1975, PMOTY 1976 - is from Norway and had a spot in their 'Fabulous Forties' video. Because it was so long ago - the 70's - there's no old video footage so instead they show pictorials. Her interview has a heartful moment where she expresses how her daughter is everything and she wishes she had kids in her twenties instead of being a sex symbol and making money. Her new scene is short, but does provide more nudity than that other Playboy video (10 mins total).
If you like trips down memory lane, 'Playmates Revisited' delivers. The ladies are still very much beautiful, in shape and the camera captures them nicely. The only downside is the amount of time spent on talk & non-nude vintage content. It's the kind of thing you'll only watch once (unless you're a fan of a particular lady) limiting replay value.
