S.S. Coptic Sailing Away (1897)
Edison was good at sending cameramen to various ships and filming various actions. The S.S. Coptic got a handful of films and this one here, as the title says, shows the ship sailing away. The camera is set up behind a small group of men who are watching the ship leave. At less than twenty seconds there's obviously nothing too ground-breaking here but if you're a fan of these early films then you'll probably want to watch this one. It gives you a good shot of the ship leaving but it also gives you a great look at the people there just to watch the ship pull off.
