Happy Pooh Day!

I grew up on Winnie the Pooh, the stories, the movies, specials and the shows The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh(of which three episodes can be seen here) and Welcome to Pooh Corner. I love the show for especially the cute stories, the funny dialogue and the lovable characters.

"April Pooh" is an example of everything to love about the show is on display. The dialogue is a lot of fun, Tigger and Pooh have a lion's share of the best lines and the characters entertaining, as well as some lovely animation and music, but I thought the story was the star. I love the simplicity and childhood innocence of the stories of the show, and "April Pooh" has some very inspired situations with Rabbit being made to think he grew a giant carrot, Pooh's honey being extra sticky, Piglet thinking his house is underwater and Tigger suddenly looking different.

"Tigger Got Your Tongue" is likewise an example of childhood innocence and inspired wordplay at its finest. The story is always sweet and engaging, helped by the whole Nobody concept. And if I had to pick a favourite scene it is the scene with the echo, Pooh and Piglet's exchange "Tigger's shouting a great deal more quietly than before./Perhaps it's part of Plan T". I always have loved the dialogue in this show, and Pooh's obvious but lovable "But Rabbit, Tigger says he was saving your vegibibles from the nobody" is yet another great Pooh quote.

"The Wise Have It" is the very definition of fun and cute. The story once again does not disappoint, the animation is colourful and the music is dynamic. The writing always makes me laugh and smile, with "Today must be Pooh's birthday!/'cause it wasn't yesterday, and tomorrow's the day I rearrange my sock drawer" standing out, you really have to admire the show's logic sometimes don't you?

Overall, a cute video and definitely recommend. 10/10 Bethany Cox
