The good'o days

This show was THE show for gaming (providing you had satellite of course!). Had many cool features such as the latest gaming news and previews - it had a certain spark from other games shows - gaming is all about fun, gamesworld made gaming fun. Presented by Bob Mills who later had his own show called In bed with medinner - it also had a load of guest commentators such as computer and videogames magazine editor Tim Boon.

David Walliams (Lance) has since gone onward and upwards, sidekick of Matt Lucas in award-winning comedy series Little Britain.

Alex verrey (Aka Big boy barry) on the other hand however, surprisingly has stuck to gaming and is now working in a games peripheral firm.

Funnily enough, I was interviewed by Alex and was asked to do a review on a certain Atari Jaguar game on the show back then! (Yeah i still got it on video for a laugh!) ;) Ahhh, classic days!

What a show!

I totally agree with the other bloke!

What a show Remember Madame Pixels Peep Parlor? And the live show with that weird squirrel getting his nuts game?!? Best was Barry's Joypad - note Lesley has gone on to have a career in comedy - see Rock Profiles on UK Play.

If anyone has any info on where I could get a copy of this AMAZING show then post it here!

Games world the final
robski724 May 2004
I have the final of the original(and best) series of this show.I agree with the other people it was such a good show, especially the first series with Bob Mills and co.I liked the format Mon/wed/Friday were the eliminators and final with Bob mills.Tuesday was Big boy Barrys show which had a young but even then very funny David Walliams(lance),who has gone onto major sucess now.Thursday was games world live, where games world come 2 your home and u played video challenges using a touch tone phone.Usually it was Andy Collins(who later presented the show in its later guise) that came to your home and Jeremy Daldry was the presenter in the studio. Its a shame the format changed in the later series but it was still a great show.I would gladly make a copy of the final for any real games world fan.
