not even Traci likes this

The most telling thing about this piece of work was Traci Lords caused she looked so different post-underage-porn-star-scandal. Its only the picture on box cover that more resembles the former Noreen Louise Kuzma. In the workouts she looked the slim part of the in-shape girl who lost those telling chubbiness in her face and body. One had to look really hard to see that it was the once hardened wild woman from the porn that made her famous and made her a name.

This video was shot in 1988, IMDb lists it as 1990. Searches on this title showed that it came out on VHS in 1990 and its so-called "theatrical release" happened 2 years before. Hard to imagine a workout video in theaters. There's another video where this website credits her with Debra Lamb called "Advanced Jazzthetics" from 1993. An Amazon.com reviewer, wrote that they're the same videos but this is 11 minutes shorter than the "second" and the covers are different. (What's going on here?). This version is choreographed by Tonya Everett.

Traci had matching yellow top and bottoms (Stewart chose them) with shoes doing voice-overs and these witty rhymes. (Did she or Tonya came up with those?) At her sides was a man in black tights and a sleeveless blue shirt. Another woman wore a one-piece blue leotard with a pink belt to complete. Traci looked like she was having fun. There are clips of this on You Tube. A poster said the guy at the back was laughing at the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Laughter came from my first viewing and hearing the motivational "singing" she did. Every other seconds she shouts "change!" The music created a lot of tedious make-it-stop moments.

Most of the workout happens on the floor and near the end of this tape they stood up. Then the 3 of them extended there arms and picture remained still before the screen went black but the music continued. Not even Traci would want her fans to see this, even as she moved away from porn.

The Kuzma girl obviously had a lot of issues with ex-boyfriend and porn business partner Stewart "Scott Bell" Dell, who's the director and producer. She didn't like it. "It was an embarrassingly cheap video with crude angles and a cheesy soundtrack. The exercises themselves were shot in a vulgar manner that exploited the otherwise innocent bending and stretching I did…I wanted to strangle my boyfriend …The guy was only out for himself! What did I expect? Good taste?" What did she expect? She did open her Traci Lords Company and produce 3 porn movies with him. Complaining about the way he shot the video feels like too much nitpicking. While exercising in short and tight-fitting clothing, there's no "safe" way to tape the stuff. A poster once wrote that this is another opportunity for Lords to blame someone else, not herself. It was more than just this video that was the problem between them.

Not too much people would normally care for this piece of work either. Around that time people would have watched a video like this with the scandal in mind. Not to get fitness tips. They probably had other ideas. Even more would have cared if it had been a nude workout video with an ex-underaged porn star. That's what took Traci to the dance, more really to the movie set, in the first place. No need to be a qualified exercise video critic. This video provides another view of Traci Elizabeth Lords.
