Noburu Ando behind bars.
searchanddestroy-127 January 2019
The story begins in occupied Japan just after the end of WW2, where former soldiers get involved in black market with all the consequences which you can imagine. After a fierce gunfight with the police, the hero is arrested and sent to jail, where he will have to learn how to survive. I have never seen any prison film from the Rising Sun Empire yet; that's the first one. Of course it's pretty violent, as you can expect from a Japanese crime flick. And Ando Noburu is of course at his best here, like a fish in the water.
