Sex & Nudity

  • The Iron Maiden enemy is a biomechanical female in a fairly skimpy outfit.

Violence & Gore

  • Contains high levels of explosive FPS action.
  • The player fights his numerous foes with a variety of guns, from military firearms to explosives to energy-based weapons.
  • Blood spurts from the Strogg are they as shot with any projectile-based gun.
  • When killed, the Strogg enemies fall over in a simple bloody heap. Not as gory as enemy deaths seen in Doom. However, corpses can still be gibbed, resulting in bloody full body bursting.

Profanity

  • Mild cursing in the intro cut scene.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Pervasive body horror is the name of the Strogg's game; the various monsters you face are disturbing wretches of fused organic life and mechanical body parts, none of which look natural.
  • The player will find captured Marines in a state of complete mental breakdown due to extensive torture. These soldiers either bang their fists in a maddened fit against the floor or nearby wall, simply wander in a haze or crawl around helplessly, all of whom either emit choking cries or beg for help/to be killed. This is a harrowing sight.
