Adapted from a dating sim game of the same name. Fujita Hiroyuki is an always sleepy and difficult to motivate high school boy, but he has a kind heart, and the gift to make friends with girls easily, like his good childhood friend Kamigishi Akari who has always looked out for him. They hang out with the calm Satou Masashi and the hyperactive Nagaoka Shiho from the parallel class, navigating the challenges of school and daily life - such as seating placement in class, clean-up duty, or going for karaoke. To Heart is a short television series that only goes for thirteen episodes. Unfortunately, most of the episodes follow the same pattern. Hiroyuki and the others meet a new girl at school with some weird quirk (martial artist, psychic, experimental android maid) and try to help her in some way, or a girl that the group already knows that has a problem of her own. The solution is found and everyone is made happy in the end. There are a few episodes that break this mold, but none of them are particularly memorable. However, the show is completely tame, with no violence or profanity, and is perfect for family viewing, if the family doesn't become bored viewing it.
