Lost in the Woods
wes-connors4 January 2011
According to Tarleton Winchester, in "Motion Picture Magazine" (May 1915), this two-reel film "is a charming story by Eleanor Talbot. It serves as a vehicle for Ruth Stonehouse and affords her an opportunity to appear in some of the classic dances which she does so well. Able acting is the rule in a cast composed of Richard Travers, Bryant Washburn, John Cossar and Helen Dunbar." Most likely, those who went to see "The Wood Nymph" enjoyed seeing Ms. Stonehouse' "Meta" cavort in some woods. Presently, the film is lost. She received her best 1915 part with director E.H. Calvert's comedy "The Slim Princess" later in the year, holding her own among three popular male co-stars - Francis X. Bushman, Mr. Washburn, and Wallace Beery.

**** The Wood Nymph (3/19/15) E.H. Calvert ~ Ruth Stonehouse, Richard Travers, Bryant Washburn, Helen Dunbar
