- TriviaMario Nascimbene in his autobiography Malgrè Moi Musicista revealed that he scored this movie as long ago as 1947 at which time it was called La sposa non vestiva di bianco (The Bride Didn't Wear White). Post production would have appeared to drag on until 1950 which became the film's official date. When Italian audiences eventually got to see the film it was retitled Amanti senza peccato (Lovers Without Sin) which was a baffling contradiction of the first title. Unfortunately, Italian reference sources (notably Cinematografo) have mistyped the composer as "Carlo Nascimbene" who doesn't actually exist. The main title confirms the composer to be Mario who later re-used the music for the "Theban Festival" sequence in The Bacchantes (1961).
