The theme of American TV Show Hawaii Five-O is played in the film. It appears when Reena Roy is listening to her radio.
The background music of the film was remixed by Andy Votel and included in the International album Hindi Horrorcore,
The music played in the first few seconds of the film ( before the credits) sampled the song "Tubular Bells" more famously known as the Exorcist theme music. The same sound can be heard in the song O Mere Chorni Mere Morni at 2:22 from the film Kaatilon Ke Kaatil. Parts of the title song Gupt and intro of Mushkil Bada Yeh Pyar Hain from Gupt, also took inspiration from Tubular Bells. Akbar Khan recreated the same song as background music in Hadsaa. During the scene when he goes to drop off Smita Patil's car and she invites him inside her house.
Part of the music of the title sequence in Jadu Tona, sounds similar to the KISS song "I Was Made For Loving You". The part occurs when the names of "Kanhaiyalal, Leela Mishra,Ramesh Deo" appear on screen. Blondie song "Call Me" at 0:28 also has the same tune. But the actual song used in Jadu Tona was from the instrumental song "Invocation To The Gods" by Mandingo, from the album, Mandingo III - A Story of Survival (1974). The instrumental music was also used in the movie Angaar (1980) for back ground music in the scene where Kiran Kumar is following Yogita Bali in London downtown. "Invocations To The Gods" was also used as back ground music in the movie Ninja Dragon (1986).
Ravikant Nagaich son Anusheel appeared in the song "Yeh Gaon Pyaara Pyaara". He was sitting in the hay stack.
