The movie only has about one minute of dialogue, and the language that the characters are speaking is entirely made up.
Shot in 1962, it was banned by Soviet authorities. Various short versions were circulated for years until May of 2000, when a screening at the Cannes Film Festival was the first time that the full 50-minute film was seen outside the Soviet Union.
