One of the best serials I have ever seen
mailankur13 April 2006
Kachhi Dhoop can be roughly translated as "Unripe Sunlight" - a beautiful metaphor for young and impressionable minds. Yes, it was a feel good serial! It was basically an adaptation of "Little Women", but was well suited to Indian conditions. It was a very nice serial with excellent directorial inputs. The serial marked the debut of Bhagyashree. She later went on to star in India's biggest hit of that generation, "Main Pyar Kiya".

The serial was clean, good fun, designed especially for the young minds. It showcased the directorial talent of Amol Palekar, that was later strengthened through works like "Kairee".

I wish there were some place, one could lay one's hands on CDs of "Kacchi Dhoop"!

Feel good serial on DD, starring Bhagyashree
hemant-116 April 2002
Written and directed by Amol Palekar, Kachchi Dhoop went on air in 1987 on Doordarshan. It was a drama about three young sisters. Actress Bhgyashree, who later debuted in film Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) played the role of the eldest sister. The show was very popular among all sections of Indian audience. Bhagyashree was particularly affable.
