Is this what the Confederacy meant when it said the south will rise again?
The record-breaking successes of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo — both of which trade on regional stereotypes to varying degrees — has paved the way for at least two more reality shows that aim to shed more light on the beasts of the Southern wild: Welcome to Myrtle Manor (early 2013), which chronicles life in a South Carolina trailer park, and Gypsy Sisters (Feb. 10), which takes a deeper look at the American gypsy subculture by exploring the lives of a family based in West Virginia.

On this week's all new "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" (Sun., May 6, 10 p.m. Et), TLC's look at the American gypsy subculture continues in an episode titled "14 and Looking For Mr. Right."
The episode follows Pricilla, a 14-year-old girl who is a "fully trained gypsy wife," as her family tries to find her a suitable gypsy husband. They buy her an expensive Sondra Celli dress, and plan to throw her a Halloween party to try to hook her up with a gypsy bachelor. But before that happens, Pricilla and her father go to another party, one that has a few gorger (non-gypsy) guests. The mixed-group party becomes a forum for Pricilla and her father to discuss the difference between how gypsys and gorgers dance at parties.
"You can't bring a gorger into a traveler community and expect it to go as a traveler would have it, 'cause you're gonna...
