London website designer Alice was happy in a stable relationship with reliable, somewhat boring Jake, but quickly dumps him after falling in love at first sight and having wild sex with an overbearing hot hunk, even before she discovers it's the famous mountaineer Adam Tallis, a studly celebrity about whom a book is just being promoted. In no time they get married, despite anonymous warnings not to trust him. In Adam's presence she enjoys being his slavish sex-toy, but when alone at his place can't resist snooping into his past, thus finding out about women falling out of love with him and concluding her climbing rescuer is scarily, dangerously jealous, but she has no proof.Written by
In the picture of a naked Adele you can see a statue in the background. This is a reference to the Dutch translation of 'Nicci French''s novel "Killing me Softly" ("Bezeten van mij" in Dutch), as those certain statues are always used as covers in Dutch translations of Nicci French. See more »

Most of the people using the program are women and we try to sell them a game but women don't like games, women like stories. Men like games, men like to slay the dragon and get the princess but women like to know how did the dragon and the princess all get there in the first place.
Alice's Work Colleague:
Gave me a chance to think. We shouldn't be playing games.

I loved this movie. First off I think Joseph Fiennes is a brilliant actor..and he is Very very very did I mention VERY HOT!! I thought he did a great job at portraying this character! He was mysterious, irresistible, made you a little afraid of him but yet so intrigued that you wanted more..I can see why Alice would be drawn to him...I would have been with him...over and over and over again! Anyhow I didn't see the ending as him leaving her...I got the picture that she left him. He still loved her and that was apparent to me. She even says at the end that maybe she couldn't handle a love that intense. He was obviously a very intense person with heavy emotions and in the end she realized that she couldn't live with that...in reality she did need someone more "normal" and less passionate. I love Joseph Fiennes anyhow but actually had never heard of this movie...I just happened to catch it on Showtime the other day actually and was glad I did..I thought it was a good movie.
