I completely underated Parchuri brothers given a superb story And Kamal intresing screenplay Krishna intresting taking Kamal nailed it with no doubt ,vijayashanti did good job to match him in performance Kamal Hassan looks handsome Must watch

I wanted to watch this movie because of the logline. It's generally fun to watch lookalikes impersonating each other.

Unfortunately, this was a very average experience. There wasn't as much comedy as I expected. I also thought there would be more things that the hero would do as the mayor to help people, which didn't happen until the end of the movie.

I also expected the jewels to come into the picture later on in the movie which didn't happen.

Overall, an average experience.

Suresh Raina, the director, the leader of the ship, it was wonderfully sailed along the strenuous waves. It's an adventorous sort of movie, a long journey full of entertainment. One of the best creations of all time. A classic movie that merely made it's space in the books of History. And, I mean this not only because of direction, not only because of the music but because of the legendary performance of one single legend Kamal Hassan. The character that he played was so innate, no one can judge him for his acting. I bow down to the legend for his outstanding contribution that only he can make. How can he depict such an intricating character? There are so many elements that are been put but are invisible. A true GEM. Co-Actor, Vijayshanti was beyong perfect for her character with kamal Hassan. I loved watching her expressions. Very well done. Charan Raj, the antagonist, perfect opponent for the film.

The entire film was classic because of the music, Ilaiyaraaja, you made such great songs, I loved playing it again and again. Wonderful Music. Thank you and Love you Music Director for a wonderful and so endearing music.... Cheers to the entire film team.

First, let me make it clear I have seen the Tamil version of the movie.

The movie is about a corrupt mayor (Kamal Haasan) who is killed and cold stored by his allies turned foes. They find a person (Kamal Haasan)who looks similar and a run away mate of a mental assylum, He is made (imposter) Mayor.

The movie is made as Comedy, but it turns vulger at several places (I still remember my blushes - as I was with family - from the scene just before the intermission).

Kamal Haasan is excellent as both the Indran (Indrudu in original) as well as Chandran (Chandrudu in original version).
