When watching this pure French TV crime flick from the eighties, I recognized the Paul Vecchiali's style in the directing, atmosphere and supporting characters; but I preferred from him COEUR DE HARENG, another crime film made for TV two years earlier. This latest movie was more powerful than this one, more engrossing. But A TITRE POSTHUME remains interesting, offering a not so predictable plot, which is always worth watching. Pierre Santini is very convincing in the role of a rough cop, a character that he rarely had in his career. The trademark of this director is the music, and some short poetry links between characters, to put counterpoint to tragedy. But, yes, definitely yes, I preferred COEUR DE HARENG from the Paul Vecchiali.
