Journey between two deaths
flywithmeraman4 March 2023
The journey between two deaths is the storyline of the movie. There are very few movies, that makes us Experience the emotions each and every time we watch. This exactly fits into that category. Everytime when a full family gathering for any festival or function, after dinner if we can watch this movie, our lives shall give a full life circle feeling.

Movie is based on a family on the banks of Godavari. The storyline exactly conveys life is just like the flowing river with different depths and turns, and finally leading to salt water sea. The climax does takes us to path of salt water.

The whole content is carried by the titular characters, Seetharamayya and his grand daughter. ANR and Meena pulled of the roles with such eloquence, for 130minutes we don't feel they are characters on screen but they are rather someone amongst us. ANR is legend and doesn't need any special mention and Novice Meena on the other hand is a perfect blend of all the emotions. You shall love her once you watch her live through the character.

A beautiful story of 3 generations..

This movie can be considered as one of its kind in the world cinema. A beautiful portrayal of the family relations and bonds between a father and son and grand daughter.

ANR and Meena needs to be specially mentioned for their performances. ANR delivered his best as a loving, pride father and respectable village head. His love for his son and the emotional disturbance with his son was performed/captured extremely well. His love for his grand-daughter, Seetha is wonderful shown.

Meena debuted with this movie and it could be easily noted as her best performance. She played the role of a young girl returning from USA to a small village in Andhra Pradesh and coping up with her relatives with lot of ease.

Rohini Hattangadi was brilliant as a mother and grand-mother. I really love her dialogue with ANR "Manavaralante Mana'Varalu'".

The cameos by Dasari and Murali Mohan were apt and the rest of the cast did their job pretty well.

Kranthi Kumar captured the Andhra nativity and established a great emotional bond amongst the characters.

Keeravani's music is an added bonus to this great movie.

This movie remains in the hearts of people forever.

Story of a Father, son and a granddaughter.
vikrammanthri4 June 2012
I watched this movie recently in 2012.I must say the movie takes you through the emotional ride. A must watch. The acting of Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and Meena, the main characters of the storyline, should more than be commended. Even the rest of the cast did justice to their characters. Keeravani, the music director, did an excellent job. The music, be it the background score or the soundtracks, has a pleasant and harmonious effect on one. Kranthi Kumar, the director of the movie was good at showing the fine nuances of the family relationships. The movie reminds one the beauty of an Indian village, the importance of relationships in a family, parent's love for their children and children's responsibility towards them.

shankarchowdaryn12 March 2015
this is my language film. this movie is family emotional, drama between grand father and grand daughter. actually this movie adopted from novel "navvinaa kennel", in Telugu's language from the writer "manasa". The main characters Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and Meena, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao also the famous Indian hero. the main characters of the storyline the music director Kevan also new but given cool music with Indian classic music. the director Kranthi Kumar is conflict and humanity director The movie reminds one the beauty of an Indian village, the importance of relationships in a family, parent's love for their children and children's responsibility towards them. The biggest compliment I can give this film, is that it make me go to my village parents.
