- Bernard: For a country that doesn't give its citizens the right to bear arms, there have been an unusual number of people getting shot, lately.
- Davidson: Officially, our hands are tied. Nothing's going to happen. But if you want to cook the stew, then stir the pot yourself.
- Jack Elgin: There's no precedent for it under national law, international law, European law, or the natural laws of justice!
- Davidson: The fact of the matter is, the United States has very little room to maneuver.
- Jack Elgin: Oh, bullshit! Look, I'm sorry, but everybody is saying that! And nobody will do anything!
- Bernard: I'm only three minutes late. They should wait a thousand years for the right to vote. That would make them impatient! I'm talking about women.
- Jack Elgin: [Weeping as he hugs his son] It's alright, darling. Crying helps.
- Andrew: [Sobbing] No it doesn't!
- Jack Elgin: ...You're right. It doesn't.
- Jack Elgin: The British and the American governments must do something to bring these hijackers to justice! Fifteen people died! My wife, my daughters, and neither the Americans under whose flag the airplane was flying, nor the British government, can just be allowed to abandon them, and walk away!
- Davidson: If you come up with something interesting, well, shit happens. Unofficially.
- Jack Elgin: My son has just lost his mother! I think it's important that I stick around!
- Davidson: Maybe you owe them more than that.
- Bernard: Somebody knows more than we do. Somebody is out there killing these sons of bitches. And that somebody is gonna walk us right to their front door!
- Kate: There is no perfect justice! Innocent men die, evil men survive, no rules! All you can do is remember who you are. Don't lose yourself! That would be the real crime, whatever mistakes you might have made.
