Nishana is about a Thakur family whose wife is killed by someone for taking an ancestral necklace which she used to wear. The story of this film takes a turn when the daughter of Thakur( Poonam Dhillon) falls in love with the boy (jeetendra) whose father was "Diwaan" and was blamed for the murder of thakur's wife.
Standard masala affair starring Jeetendra and Poonam Dhillon is lively, fun and has all concoction that makes a blockbuster - fights, dancing, singing, nasty villains courtesy of uptal Dutt and Prem Chopra, and the typical misunderstandings that threatens a budding romance. The comedy is supplied by the legendary Rajendranath and Asrani. The dialogue is great; there's one sequence where Jeetendra mentions his film titles within his dialogue. It's great escapist fun.
