Bappi Lahiri replaced Laxmikant-Pyarelal, as the music director of this film. This is the only film of T. Rama Rao with Bappi Lahiri as music director. T. Rama Rao utilized mostly Laxmikant-Pyarelal for all his films during 80s.
In the original movie Neti Bharatam and the remake Puthiya Theerppu, the protagonist dies in the climax. However, in this film, the protagonist survives.
Komal (Rupini) was signed for the film but later replaced by Swapna.
Jeetendra's over the top action scene's was the reason the film crashed at the box office.
The henchman who stabs the protagonist with a broken bottle at the back in the climax also featured in the Telugu and Tamil versions and was the one who attacked the protagonists in the climax in those versions.
