An interesting French documentary about a cop killing in Houston.
It starts like an average episode of "Cops", with the cameracrew cruising around Houston with the police during one night, but soon evolves into a documentary about one particular event, a cop killing.
What is good about this one is the fact that it takes some distance from it's subject and presents the situation in a way we are not used to seeing it. We get to know the cop killer and meet his family before facing with him the ultimate sentence.
The filmmaker does not take an obvious political or moral stand, but instead leaves all the concluding to the viewer. After all, the ones who face the injection are human beings. On the other hand, the ones they have killed are humans, too...
Released on video in Finland in the early eighties.
