Trick Bears (1899)
I'm sure in 1899 this film caused movie fans to go crazy with excitement but today it's going to be looked at as something evil. This Edison film features a few bears performing some tricks with most of them featuring the bears in costumes. This is all fine but what's going to really set people off is that there are several scenes of animal cruelty including a rather violent scene where one of the trainers kicks one of the baby bears. I'm sure most people will be watching this and wishing that the bears turned on the trainers. There are a few scenes like this throughout the 90 second running time so animal lovers will certainly want to skip this.
