We have our first cancellation of 2015, and unfortunately for fans of Covert Affairs, it’s not good news. USA Network has decided to cancel the spy series, starring Piper Perabo, after five seasons. Covert Affairs followed the story of Perabo’s Annie Walker, a CIA trainee sent to work for the Domestic Protection Division (Dpd) as a field agent. Throughout Covert Affairs‘ five seasons, Annie did her best to keep her cover intact and worked with blind tech operative Auggie Anderson (Christopher Gorham). In addition to Perabo and Gorham, the series also starred Kari Matchett, Anne Dudek, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Peter Gallagher, Hill Harper, and Nic Bishop at different points during its five seasons. USA cited Covert Affairs’ low ratings for why it decided to cancel the series, which premiered on the network in 2010. With both White Collar and Covert Affairs gone, Suits is now USA Network’s veteran series. The...

The cast of White Collar got a chance to wrap up their series with a final short season but Covert Affairs won't get that chance. USA Network has cancelled the series after five seasons, leaving fans with plenty of questions and no season six.

Tonight, USA Network airs the series finale of White Collar and fans could also be seeing the end of Covert Affairs as well. The latter series hasn't been renewed for a sixth season yet and the show's dropped way down in the ratings.
On Covert Affairs, operatives Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) and Auggie Anderson (Chris Gorham) work together in the CIA's Domestic Protection Division (Dpd). The show's cast also includes Kari Matchett, Peter Gallagher, Hill Harper, and Nicholas Bishop.
The fourth season of Covert Affairs averaged 2.27 million viewers with a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The current season has been averaging 1.53 million and a 0.3 ratings -- a drop of 49% in viewership. It's USA's lowest-rated scripted series in the demo.

As we were psyching ourselves up for our Summer Movie Preview week and the movie season in general, we decided to ask the stars themselves what flicks they’re looking forward to. Some of them, as you can see in the video above, had their answers ready: The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus and Rock of Ages were popular choices. Others, like Michelle Williams, gave us embarrassed looks as they admitted to not having a ready made movie calendar in their heads. Well, Michelle and the rest of the you can relax now. We’ve got a handy-dandy list here. And before, while and after you print it out, don’t forget to vote for your favorite Heroes, Heroines, Villains and Funny Ladies from this summer’s movies!

Known for his extensive film, theater and television career (as well as his amazing eyebrows), Peter Gallagher recently spoke with us about his role as Arthur Campbell in Covert Affairs. He talks about his on screen marriage with Kari Matchett, who plays Joan Campbell, head of the Domestic Protection Division. He also promises us that Arthur is going to get in on the action side of things and actually gets to –expletive- somebody up! And if you didn’t know, Gallagher is a skilled musician and singer. We ask him if that talent will somehow find its way on to the show. I regretfully forgot to ask him about video games (he’s been known to be a big gamer), but hopefully I’ll get to ask that in a future sit-down with the actor. Tune in this Tuesday night for the Covert Affairs Season 2 Summer finale.

Chicago – In an era where America’s budget concerns are front and center, a TV series celebrating the awesomeness of the CIA seems a bit ill-timed. Piper Perabo portrays an undercover operative in the second season premiere of USA Network’s “Covert Affairs.”
TV Rating: 3.0/5.0
The series does score some points for intrigue, mostly through the character of Arthur Campbell (Peter Gallagher), who portrays the CIA Director of the National Clandestine Service. He’s in a bit of a legal pickle regarding his the division’s actions, and the whole agency is on pins and needles regarding it. In the foreground is Perabo’s Annie Walker, who is the centerpiece agent of the assignment du jour.
The second season opens with a flashback. Annie is romping on the beach, remembering a mission in Sri Lanka, where a former rogue operative Ben Mercer (Eion Bailey) is injured in a firefight trying...

It’s official: Covert Affairs is my new favorite show. After a way-better-than-expected premiere last week, the spy dramedy’s second episode, “Walter’s Walk,” built on all the things that made the pilot great, while showing us what kind of series Covert Affairs may turn out to be: think a cutesier version of Alias with a strong focus on characters, some pulpy serial questions, and a way better soundtrack. Seriously, I haven’t had this much fun with a show in a very long time—the episode ended thirty minutes ago, and I’m still smiling. So naturally, I’ve got to recap it!

· Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich tweeted a picture of Tom Hanks doing his final recording session on the film, due June 18.
· Clive Owen has climbed aboard the action/thriller Protection, replacing Paul Walker. There's an unlikely recasting!
· At the Lat directors roundtable, Quentin Tarantino recounted the story of how Harvey Weinstein tried to cut the most iconic scene out of Reservoir Dogs.
· After the comparatively giddy Taking Woodstock tanked, James Schamus says he's writing a new project for Ang Lee that's "going back to the good old, tragic, suicidally depressing Ang!"
· This happens every year: Kathy Griffin does a wild New Year's Eve show for CNN, reports circulate that CNN would never hire her back, and then CNN totally does. According to Griffin, we're probably in between steps two and three.
