        • Trivia
This film, despite bearing a 1963 copyright date, was actually released five years later in 1968. The original theatrical version of the film, The Madmen of Mandoras (1963), was combined with new footage of "CID" agents Vic and Toni shot entirely for the new version of the film, which was released to television and retitled "They Saved Hitler's Brain". The Vic and Toni footage was obviously shot five years later, because the hairstyles and fashions seen in them did not become popular until the late 1960s.
        • Goofs
Many "nighttime" scenes in this film were obviously shot in bright, shadow-casting daylight (with dubbed cricket chirping on the soundtrack).

        Tons and tons of senselessness!
I don't know where to begin! But this movie very much deserves to be in the B-Movie Hall of Shame! First off, the characters Vic and Toni look like refugees from the 1970's, like the just walked out of a disco for crying out loud! The plot was so incomprehensible and ill-concevied that you would have to be drunk on Billy Carter's 'Billy-Beer' to understand it!

They Saved Hitler's Brain has some stock footage from other movies that you can tell it was made on a low and tight budget. The head looked like a wax figure with hair and a small moustache. Some of the scenes were so laughable, when the bad guys were trying to make someone talk by making him listen to sirens! And when they turned on the head and it only said one thing over and over. In the end the Hitler head just stood there in an awe when the whole place was burning down in an inferno! Anyone who sees this is in for a whole 2 hours of senselessness and stupidity! Sometimes I wonder if the critics laughed really hard at this lame movie, too.

This movie is strictly for either B-Movie fans who want a good laugh or people with a severe masocistic streak! This junk makes Plan 9 look original!
