TV and film actor Aasif Sheikh, who rose to fame as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’, said that he enjoys transforming into female characters on screen and even the audience loves to watch this transformation. He also shared the challenges of playing a character half his age in the show.
Aasif said: “My character Vibhuti Narayan Mishra takes me back to my younger days. It brings out the best in me; it makes me feel 35-years-young (not old) at 55. Honestly, for me, age is just a number. I don’t want to tell people my back is aching or I’m not feeling up to it at the shoot. I want to be fit enough to take on any challenge at any given time, like a 30-year-old.”
On the challenges of playing a character who is not of his age is physical fitness and he focuses on that.

New Delhi, Oct 9: From Kishore Kumar's melodious tracks to R.D. Burman's memorable numbers, a special compilation of 20 popular Bollywood songs titled 9X Jalwa Blockbuster Beats is now available on the Indian iTunes Store.
The compilation, by Bollywood music channel 9X Jalwa and music label Universal Music India, includes songs like "Saara zamana", "Mehbooba mehbooba", "Yamma yamma" and "My name is Anthony Gonsalves".
"'Blockbuster Beats' on 9X Jalwa enjoys fantastic viewership and time spent on the channel. With 9X Jalwa Blockbuster Beats we plan to recreate this amazing experience on the digital space," Vibha Gosher, 9X Media Group senior vice president (Digital), said in a statement.
The idea was viable for Universal.

Mumbai, April 1: Singer Lata Mangeshkar felicitated younger sister Asha Bhosle with the Hridaynath Mangeshkar Award at a function that saw all the Mangeshkar siblings come together.
Asha, known for evergreen songs like "Dum maro dum", "Mehbooba mehbooba", "Mera kuch saaman", "Piya tu ab to aaja", "Chura liya hai tum ne" and "Dil cheez kya hai" during her six-decade career, performed live for three hours Sunday night.
Asha, 79, who was rewarded Rs.100,000, said she would add some more money and donate the entire amount to those affected by the drought here.
Her brother Hridaynath accompanied her in singing a few songs.
Asha, known for evergreen songs like "Dum maro dum", "Mehbooba mehbooba", "Mera kuch saaman", "Piya tu ab to aaja", "Chura liya hai tum ne" and "Dil cheez kya hai" during her six-decade career, performed live for three hours Sunday night.
