Weird but fun

Welcome to Moral Court, where it pays to be right. The show had three elements. The first was a courtroom show, in which conservative Larry Elder presides over a case between two sides, one who thinks the other is in the moral wrong. They bring their case to Elder who decides if the accused is a moral misfit. Then there is the talk show portion in which Vivian, the court reporter comes to interview the principals while Elder is in recess. Finally, there is the game show portion where the winner of the case gets $500 to $2000 depending on the decision.

The most notable name I saw on there was a cult figure named The Naked Cowboy. Basically, he is a musician that plays a guitar in nothing but a cowboy hat, cowboy boots and underwear. His girlfriend (or someone playing the role of his girlfriend) brought him to the show because she thought what he was doing was morally wrong. Elder thought different awarded the decision to The Naked Cowboy.

There was another odd case where a woman was suing a man for having a museum that chronicles the history female menstruation lol. She claimed that his museum was offensive didn't have a lot of things right. She even brought like dozens of pamphlets to back up her claim lol. Well, Elder ruled for him since he had a right to display what he wanted and she was PEEVED. I mean she hated losing so much that she didn't even stick around to be interviewed by Vivian after she lost.

Anyway, Moral Court died a horrible death. It really wasn't a huge loss for Elder as he still had a radio show. It was still an interesting and fun show.

Where it Pays to be Right IS right

Moral Court is a sendup of a court show/talk show/game show hybrid where the "accuser" and the "accused" battle it out on a settlement where the judge will award either one $500, $1000, or $2000 based on his decision. I liked Larry Elder and that guy with a Moral Court T-shirt who acts like a bailiff should be a court show fan. It's a gosh darn shame UPN took it off for another show.

Larry Elder v. Bralalalala
tipofff1 June 2014
This is the program where award winning heavy metal singer Bralalalala was chastised by Larry Elder for being trans gender and expecting to not be discriminated in the music business anyway. Elder called Bralalalala, "arrogant," and "self righteous" on the Christmas Day 2000 episode when Bralalalala expected a woman who said her music was really good to be wiling to participate in a music video of the artist. The woman named Mitzy declined the invitation explaining that Bralalalala is not an act but looks like a girl all the time. The woman also further concluded that associating with such a trans gender person would ruin her reputation and harm her children. The jury took Bralalalala's side by a 2-3 margin while Judge Larry Elder awarded the woman $500.

Vivian

Warning: Spoilers
The show should spend a little more money and shoot Vivian Guzman the court reporter as she explains the prizes for each show, and not use the same two or three shots they have of her. It is a insult to a viewers intelligence to swing the camera to her, and there she is, exactly the same as she was the day before. Who do they think they are kidding? She is a beautiful woman so let her wear different clothes for goodness sake. Or you can explain the shows prizes verbally at the beginning. I think you can get more male viewers if you let her show off her looks. They do almost the same thing with the audience, which is a little more tolerable, but try to screen them a little better. Some of their comments are so cutesy, it becomes almost as bad as the Jerry Springer show.

Good Court Show!
Seinfeld20057 June 2002
This was actually a good court show. It was kind of a game show/court show. I like Judge Larry Elder because he was actually a nice guy and acted like he cared. He wasnt like a normal TV Judge where they just sit there and yell, he was really nice. I am so sad FOX took this show off.
