Live coverage from Vienna brought in 790,000 viewers and a 3.9% audience share for BBC Three from 8pm.
BBC One's 24 Hours in the Past was the night's most watched programme outside of the soaps with 3.17m (15.8%) at 9pm, while The Dog Factory followed with 1.28m (13.7%) at 10.45pm.
On BBC Two, Antiques Road Trip interested 1.37m (7.5%) at 7pm, before the Rhs Chelsea Flower Show was seen by 3.03m (15.1%) at 8pm, and The Detectives fascinated 1.81m (9.0%) at 9pm.
