Ok, this is definitely not the best Disney movie out there, BUT it is the best one made for TV. It is a fun movie to watch, with characters you actually care about, and a few very witty lines "Do you think anyone in France actually misses him." Yes a few characters were created souly to further the plot, Andi's father isn't very realistic, neither Fern, and Renee's accent is horrible. Still it is a fun movie, Dean and Andi's relationship is sweet. Her mother, and two brothers are great characters. Even though it is predictable, come on guys it's a Disney movie do you think that they're going to have her bike crash and her die or something, it is a very fun watch, so fun that it is possible to watch it twice in one day without getting bored (my sister came in for the very end and then wanted to watch the beginning). So watch if it comes on TV, or it even is a satisfying rental, but don't expect it to challenge you, or to be anything more than it is.

I'm all for modern day films that take plots from the classics and you don't get more classic than the Bard. If a film like Motocrossed will encourage young folks to check out 12th Night and the rest of the works of Master Will Shakespeare so much the better.
Motocrossed is the story the Carson Family who all enjoy the sport of Motorcycle racing including daughter Alana Austin. Her twin brother Trevor O'Brien is an up and coming young racer, but when he's injured and can't compete his twin sister takes so she can compete with the boys and show she has the right stuff for the support.
Austin does have her problems though, she has to win her parents and siblings over which also includes a most indiscreet little brother Scott Terra. Mother Mary-Margaret Humes gets on board as Austin appeals to the feminist side of her. It's father Timothy Carhart that's kept in the dark for most of the film.
It doesn't help that there's a champion Motocross rider in Riley Hill that she has an interest in that extends to more than sports. But being in male drag won't help her cause.
Motocrossed has some nice cinematography of the young folk doing their racing and it's fine family entertainment.

This is one of the few movies where who goes with bike, especially with off road bike, is not ugly and bad ... I mean dirt is within the context. All the actor perform well, even if not all are professional. I would like to have more film like this for our sons, the messages inside the story are correct, not free violence but a lot of competition even if in the real world female championship is not together with male championship, this is a poetic license but acceptable. We have some excellent pilot, Kiara Fontanesi, Flo Parrini, Alice Magnoli that are both eligible for actress and as pilot too... I would like to see again a film with some of them (...I believe stunts are not necessary).

At first I thought that there was no way I would like this movie because I don't like motorcycles and didn't like Mulan. Well I got a surprise because the movie wasn't completely focused on racing it had other issues such as romance and her relationship with her father. Her little brother Jason was adorable and I give it 7/10.
The film raises the flag of isonomy for women...

Motocrossed! Is a 2001 Disney Channel Original Movie (based on the Shakespeare play Twelfth Night), about a girl named Andrea Carson who loves motocross, despite the fact that her father finds her unsuited for the sport, being that she is "just a girl" . When her twin brother Andrew breaks his leg just before a big race, their father is forced to go to Europe to find a replacement rider. In the meantime, Andrea secretly races in Andrew's place with her mother's help.
I love this little movie, despite EVERYTHING sounding very fake, like the change of characters imperceptible to the others, pure fantasy, and amazingly, the film is a free adaptation of "Night" by Kings by William Shakespeare, ok and Disney took advantage of the placement of product, since many of the clothes, motocross equipment and bicycles seen were from real extreme sports companies, and finally the film raises the flag of isonomy for women, after spending 90 "patriarching"... When I saw the advertising for this movie I must admit that I was expecting it to suck. But to my surprise it didn't. Maybe it's just me, but I think this is one of the Disney channels best original movies. Although yes it may similarities to that of the Disney animated film Mulan, I still think that it's one of the most reasonable and could be realistic films on the channel right now. I mean, how often do you find yourself turning into a mermaid or having a step sister who's really a bubble? Not too often.

Motocrossed was fun, but it wasn't that great. I guess I just didn't understand a lot of the Motocross racing "lingo" (and there was A LOT of that in the film)! The plot wasn't what I expected from the Disney Channel previews, so that could account for some of my disappointment.

Most of the Disney Channel Movie fodder over the years has been exceptionally gag-worthy. Actors who are at best passable in 24 minute doses become entirely unbearable in a 2 hour span. Motocrossed is one of the few exceptions, perhaps because I did not recognize anyone from the normal talent(less) pool.
But I think the best reason is the engaging story, which (surprise) actually seems to be ripped off from one of the greatest comedies written, Twelfth Night. Tweak a few names and lose a couple of racing bikes and suddenly we're back listening to the bard. Think about it: Andrea pretends to be her injured brother to uphold her family's living just as Viola assumes her brother's identity when he disappears to earn a livelihood. She falls for another racer who thinks she's a dude and ends up having to woo another girl for him, just as Viola tried to woo Olivia for the Duke. Much confusion ensues before finally revealing that *gasp* she's a girl after all and can now legitimately hook up with her man.
It's actually nice having a modern version of the story, and although She's the Man is definitely the better, I would recommend this title to families over the sexed-up Amanda Bynes version. It would actually be an easily digestible way to introduce your kids to Shakespeare and prove he's not so boring after all. So if you ever get stuck looking after a Disney-obsessed kid, hope this one comes on. It may just make the time passable.

A Disney movie about a fraud

Some fraud girl tries to compete in the big leagues of motorcross by swiching places with her brother. She gets to the top by lying and manipulation. She should have been disqualified. The movie promotes lying and cheating to win. also the idea of a 9 yr old mechanic is absurd. it takes many many years to get good. Go back to the tonka toys.
A Surprisingly Good Film

I've never been a big fan of Disney Channel Original Movies, and for good reason as most of them are cheesy meaningless movies made to keep young kids occupied. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when I caught the middle of the movie accidentally one day while flipping channels. After seeing the last half of the movie, I just had to see the beginning so I found out when it was coming on again and watched it again from the very beginning. Upon doing so, I discovered that the movie is actually quite good and I definitely recommend it to those who are interested in motocross and are also into family movies. I liked the girl power aspect as well as the family togetherness; it's quite amazing how the whole family stuck together at the end, and I found it so awesome that Andrea was good at Motocross but could still be a typical girl at the same time. It shows that girls can be good at sports and not look like tomboys. Also, the casting directors should be commended because they picked a fine cast of talented young people. This movie has a good message for the whole family and although the twins in the movie looked almost nothing alike, and Andrea would never be able to pass for Andrew in real life, sticking around for the ending is definitely well worth it. I give this movie 8/10 stars.

Andrea "Andi" Carson (Alana Austin) is an average teenage girl. She's a cheerleader, she owns pillows shaped like flowers, paints her nails, and, oh, yeah, she can Motocross like nobody's business.
But what strikes me about this movie is not its plot (girl dresses like guy, big dramatic moment as the world finds out she tricked them all, then she gets the guy) but it's hidden message. Not only are girls capable of racing with the boys, but they can wear nail polish, skirts, and earrings, too! It's not evil to be feminine.
On a more shallow note, this cast is full of swoonworthy guys. Dean (Riley Smith), twin brother Andrew (Trevor O'Brien), li'l brother Jason (Scott Terra), evil French Renee Cartier, and the assorted racers hanging out on the track.
Yet, there are some really weird moments. The adults in this movie have the IQ of, say, Jello. Not to mention the big romantic scene--instead of a kiss, we get Andi and Dean's characters racing for Dean to become part of "Carson Racing".
Keep in mind, though, that when you see this movie, there are no surprises. But then again, my entire family saw the movie 4 times in one weekend: me, my sister, my cousin, my mother, and my aunt. It can hold anyone's attention!

I have not always been such a big fan of Disney Channel original movies, but I really loved this one. I learned some interesting facts about motocross racing and the movie has a wonderful message about girl power built into it which I feel is always important being that I have a young daughter. Alana Austin plays the part beautifully and th rest of the cast plays their parts perfectly. If you have an opportunity to, catch this movie as soon as it is on again.

Like in other comments that I have put out, I have said that I like the music better than the movie itself. In this case, I like them both. I agree with some other people that the music is good because it has a variety such as soothing, rock, MST, instrumental, etc. I have seen this movie about 10 or 15 times and I always say, "Oooh, yey! Motocrossed is on!" I say that because I am also 12 years old. And being at the age where I am supposed to like this sort of movie, I did. Alana Austin (Andi Carson) did a great job of Andi. Although to me it is obvious that she was at least 3 or 4 years older than she is in the movie. I read other comments and they say that "Jason", played by Scott Terra, is 9? In real life, he 13 or 14 when the filming of that movie took place. So I recommend this movie out to everyone! But I have to agree with the other users, this movie is a bit predictable. 10/10

What impressed me the most about this movie was the positive relationship between the family members, the encouragement they give each other, and how they work together for a common goal. It seems perfectly natural, in this day and age, that Andrea should want to race, so the feminist theme, handled humorously at first with the references to "chicks", didn't seem like a war cry. In a different story-line, an undisguised Andrea might act more macho than the male riders as she shows them who's boss, whereas in this story she doesn't act macho even when disguised as Andrew. She is the same person either way. She just wants the playing field level. If there is a lesson here, it is for die-hard feminists as well as male chauvinists.

This really was a good Disney Channel movie. It was one of the best I'd seen. I give it a 10 out 0f 10 when it comes to Disney Channel movies... ~In this movie, ferternwal twins, Andrea and Andrew Carson, both like motocross. However, their father is more protective of Andrea because she is a girl and doesn't like that she tries to ride every chance she gets. ~One day when their parents are out, the twins race each other and Andrew ends up getting hurt. Now, their father has to find someone to ride for them in the motocross races...refusing to even THINK of the idea of letting Andrea race in place of her brother. ~Andrea, with the support of her brothers and her mother, enter Andrea into the races because their father is in Europe having a hard time finding a replacement rider for Andrew...but Andrea doesn't do too well in the beginning.... ~Eventually, with the support of her mother and brothers, the help from the guy she likes (who thinks she's a guy through most of the movie), and eventually the support of her father, Andrea wins the competition and proves she has what it takes to do what she loves, motocross, and do it well.

This was certainly a great movie. I so totally loved it. I'll be like 16 later on this month, yet, I found myself glued to the Disney Channel whenever Motocrossed came on. I've watched it every time it has come on. It's got two of the most gorgeous guys I've ever seen in it! Trevor O'Brien is to die for, so is Riley Smith. I wish them luck in whatever they do in the years to come. As well as the others cast members. Wendi Dawn C/O 2003!

First, I would like to say this movie was so good, I have watched it about thirty times. The main charecters: Andrea "Andi" Carson (Alana Austin), Andrew "Andy" Carson(Trevor O'Brian), Dean Talon (Riley Smith) are all played very well by the actors and actresses. The plot was used in some other movies, but never was it so exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It would have been better if Andi and Dean kissed at the end, or at least hugged or something, but what can I say. Its a Disney movie. I have watched it so many times, I have memorized the whole thing, and I'm still not tired of it. And I loved how Andi cut her hair and went to the track to race. A woman that came out on top in a mans sport.(sorry, a little TOO crazy about this movie.) I have even gotten my hair cut like Alana Austin. I am crazy about this movie! If you read this, I suggest you see this movie.
I love this movie because it is my favorite sport.

I love this movie because it is my favorite sport. I also really like this movie because they picked great characters to play the parts. It has a very nice lesson to it and about how women should be respected in all things. It is appropriate for children and teens.

This is a movie that shows woman can do just as many things as guys can! I think the acting is exceptional for a TV movie. Andrea Carson (Alana Austin) dresses as her brother Andrew Carson (Trever O'Brien) and enters in motocross after Andrew broke his leg. Dean Talon (Riley Smith) befriends Andy and she starts to fall in love with him. But when her father finds out what she's doing, things get complicated! This is a great movie! Watch and see!

this show was amazing, even though there is alot of movies like this but this one i dunno just was really good, Andi was really brave to be masquerading as a boy (her brother. Her brother injured himself and she tokk it for blame and went in her brothers place in motocross racing and falls in love with her male motocross friend, its hilarious you must watch it. i fel as if i can watch it all over again and again and again and again and again aaaaaaa! :)

OK. heres a story that has a fantastic moral, good music, gorgeous Riley smith and an evil villain(Renee'). i love the movie and it is NEVER boring. the movie brings out the fact that Disney has actually made a cute original story that attracts little children AND preteens - adults(Sort of). although its very very predictable its cute and it makes you laugh. theirs a lot of characters that r sorta pointless (fern, that guys who fix's deans bike... etc...) but it still has an amazing story plot and is very fun to watch. i personally LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie and think that its the best Disney channel original movie and then stuck in the suburbs. its just one of those movies where you wont die if you don't see, but it is a great watch and is worth "wasting" 1 hour and 30 minutes. its enjoyable and cute and i for one don't think u will get so upset if u watch it and don't like it, after all, its just a movie.

I thought this movie was great! I really showed that girls can be just as good as guys in a guys sport. I love the humor that was showed in the movie and had even a little love twist. The new actors and actress es in it I was really impressed with and thought did a great job. This movie has really become one of my favorite movies! I love it!

I'm gonna sound like a 11 year old girl for a second and say that this is the bestest movie in the whooooooole entire world. Well ok the best made for TV movie ever. The plot was really original and the ending was different than I thought it would be. The casting was awesome and I found my new favorite actor (Riley Smith - he plays Dean). I hope sometime in the future they will do a sequel.
