The title "Tortured over Sex" gives the impression that this little South American number is an S&M funfest.
Sadly that is putting it a bit high. Saw this originally in Portugese, and my translation powers ain't that good. Anyway it seems to involve a political opposition activist who gets engaged in a perfectly understandable foursome (who doesn't these days?) However the scruffy secret police are then on their tail, presumably for offences against decency as much as anything else. The first half of the film seems to consist of man 1 getting a rather lame degree of torture at the hand of chaps in cheap suits and beards. I was on the verge of turning it off.
However the gals are then arrested (and in the end there are three of them). They are put in a cell sans habilles, and that is when matters get a little more interesting. There is a fair amount of unpleasant naked knocking around which involves the girls and the man. However it is never wildly explicit. Eventually they all join in kicking in the man.
For South American exploitation this is relatively bland even if it has a sharper edge than some. In the end it just made me glad to live in a Western democracy- the quality of the film-making being just dreadful in these authoritarian regimes .....
