I saw this Comedy Playhouse presentation for the first time. I did watch this segment when it was refilmed for the movie The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins.

Two drivers out for a drive with their wives meet in the middle of a narrow country lane. Mr Spooner (Bernard Cribbins) is working class and driving a banger. Mr Ferris (Leslie Phillips) is upper crust and has a Rolls Royce.

Both get into a heated argument and refuse to back up. Soon the motoring organisations the RAC and AA get involved. Both belong to one of the organisations.

Later a policeman turns up and there is a surprise for one of the drivers.

Written by Galton & Simpson it says a lot about the class divide. It is consistently amusing, well played by the leads and I did like the ending.
