Sex & Nudity

  • Subtle References and Innuendo Throughout. Additionally, the cavemen's backsides are visible in the prehistoric level.

Violence & Gore

  • Mild to Moderate Cartoon Violence.
  • Non-graphic, although occasionally semi-intense.
  • A flame attack (shooting fire eggs) can set enemies on fire, and explosive grenade eggs can be shot as well.
  • One boss fight features red blood bubbles coming from a menacing fish creature when he is hit, and happens several times during the fight. Also, some wall-dwelling creatures explode into pieces and a green mist is emitted.
  • Lastly, the severed head of an enemy is jokingly tossed around by the protagonists, whom is a skeleton.

Profanity

  • just very mild phrases like "kick your butt", etc., and a couple variations of the word "minge" which is a crude british term.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a bar that serves "ginger beer", presumably with no alcohol, but there is a pirate in the corner of the room who is obviously trashed, but repeatedly tells you he's just seasick (he's on dry land), before falling out of his chair. Also, the beginning of the game had Banjo, Kazooie, Bottles, and Mumbo Jumbo playing poker (well, this IS something that kids don't normally deal with).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This game is considerably darker than the first game, featuring some deaths, a mother polar bear abusing her children, etc.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There's a part in the beginning cutscene where Gruntilda and her sisters kill Bottles the mole. However, towards the end of the game Banjo and Kazooie restore his life.
