Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • the dreamcast version censores the red blood into green goo
  • Brash bloody horror violence.
  • Frequent strong animated bloody violence.
  • Compared to the first game, 'The House of The Dead 2' has much better/more realistic graphics which makes the impact of the violence somewhat stronger and bloodier.
  • Some of the bosses of the game appear to have a grotesque look which may disturb young children.

Profanity

  • There is no profanity in the game unless you count the one time a playable character says "hell."
  • The voice acting is very cheesy and lifeless, which means that more threatening characters who are supposed to sound scary (e.g: the first boss) can come across as laughable.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The villains in this game would most likely be too scary for children under the age 7.
  • Extremely creepy
  • The voice acting is the most frightening part of the game lel.
  • Frequent gore and moderate horror.
  • Enemies can only be defeated by ripping them to shreds with a handgun. This results in heavy gore, but the sheer amount is quite unrealistic and, to some, can be considered comical.
