Sex & Nudity
-
- Some mild sex references: the game features some sexy aliens that wear bikini tops and make suggestive comments.
- The player will sometimes come across the Biker enemy having rough sex with his cheerleader girlfriend(?). This distraction makes him an easy target.
- After killing a Biker, Leonard will sometimes retort "Turn around boy -- lemme see if I recognize you from prison!", alluding to, well...you know.
- The theme song "Redneck Rampage" has lyrics that allude to crude sexual humor and jokes ("My family's tree's a stump!"; "Your Honor, I didn't know she was underaged!')
- One of the weapons Leonard uses is an alien machine gun fashioned after a pair of human female breasts, with the tits acting as the gun tips.
Violence & Gore
-
- Rampant, gory violence abounds; Leonard fights off his various foes with firearms, explosives and a crowbar. Gunfire will cause enemies to bleed and spread blood on nearby surfaces while explosive weapons will blow them up into gory gibs.
- Leonard has to hit Bubba with his crowbar to end a level. This is not gory and done for comedic effect.
- There is some level of animal cruelty; as chickens, pigs, cows and other fauna can be shot and killed. Chickens get it worse as they can strapped to dynamite and shot from a crossbow, acting as a homing rocket.
Profanity
-
- Mild, yet numerous cursing; "shit" is the worst offender, as two used of "fuck" are censored.
- The "Cuss Pack" add-on has re-recorded dialogue that makes in-game characters much more profane and lewd.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- The player collects beer, whiskey and moonshine as power ups. The character acts drunk if they are used too much, affecting his aim and controls as a result.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The game has a bit of a dark vibe and undercurrent with its level art, graphics and storyline, yet at its core it's a still a comical title.
- Grimly's Mortuary makes use of a few horror tropes (a dark and stormy night motif, ghosts in the cemetery, etc.)
- The irreverent and slightly politically incorrect humor may turn some players off, especially sensitive ones.
