In the 2-vs-2 Mini-Game "Pump, Pump, and Away", when one team's rocket is the first to descend due to not having enough air pumped in versus the other team's, it does not flip upside from this point. After the winning team's rocket starts to parachute after reaching a certain point, when the scene changes back to land, the losing team's rocket returns upside down and crashes head-first into the ground.
Voice actress Jen Taylor who voiced Princess Peach has her name in the credits misspelled as "Jenn Taylor".
Dorrie, while in the Item Mini-Game "Dorrie Dip" is referred to using female pronouns on the instruction screen with rules and advice on how to play Mini-Games. However, in other games has been referred to using male pronouns since his debut in "Super Mario 64".
In international versions of this game, if the player fails an Item Mini-Game, they get a "GAME OVER", but re-uses the existing voice clip from the first Mario Party with the original voice of the announcer from after the player loses every life on Mini-Game Island. The Japanese version however says "MISS!" when most other voice clips for the announcer are recycled from Mario Party 2. The "GAME OVER" should have been re-recorded in order to be consistent with other calls from the voice of the announcer.
In the Mini-Game "Mario's Puzzle Party" the six characters whom previously appeared in the first two games in the series re-use the selected/winning portraits from the second game instead of this game. Princess Daisy and Waluigi on the other hand use the selected/winning portraits due to appearing in this game for the first time in the Mario Party series.
