Maria McErlane presided over this 4am quiz show, in which two couples would bare all (metaphorically speaking) in regards to their sex lives, with Ms McErlane providing the probing questions, and a lamentably poor prize being offered to the winning couple, whose achievement was often their willingness to admit taboo behaviour for an audience of thousands.
It wasn't very good, and it was uncomfortable viewing as the couples were often asked very personal questions, and visibly squirmed as they answered. The competing couples seemed to consist of one fairly normal person, who found the lines of questioning deeply difficult, and a partner who would happily explain in gynaecological detail the ins and outs of their bedroom habits. Men would sit and gaze into the middle distance as their girlfriends would boast "...and then I like him to do..." (cue illustrative flourished hand motions) "...THIS", and women would blush redder and redder as their boyfriends stated "Weeell, she loves a bit of it, don't she, and you know what they say about the quiet ones" with a pelvic thrust and a leer.

This was one of those formats you know was dreamed up by the "It's late night television and all we know is that 'The Word' is very popular" department, and - in hindsight - maybe shouldn't have got past the drawing board stage. Recorded against a stark white background with a few cardboard props, it set out to achieve very little, and underperformed even in that capacity. As post-pub British television goes, it was so bad it was almost passable, but never much more than that.
