A wonderful collection of Disney modern classics
TheLittleSongbird1 January 2012
I have always loved the Disney sing along songs, and Zero to Hero(or The Modern Classics, based on Hercules, always an enjoyable film but my least favourite of the Disney Renaissance) is one of the better more recent ones, in fact perhaps the best one since Circle of Life. The animation is clean, colourful and smooth on the most part, and the music is wonderful, doing a good job taking you down memory lane, making you identify with the characters and educating children. One Last Hope is perhaps my least favourite song on the video but it is very well sung and is placed well. The other songs really do win me over ranging from the joyous such as Zero to Hero and Topsy Turvey(though I don't consider that the best song from The Hunchback of Notre Dame), spirit-rousing such as Be Our Guest and Under the Sea, romantic with A Whole New World and hopeful and poignant with Colours of the Wind and Part of Your World. Really quite a great collection of songs, isn't it? Overall, wonderful and recommended even if it is not quite up there with the best of the series. 9/10 Bethany Cox
