Excellent adaptation of the Paul Bunyan legends
llltdesq12 March 2002
Paul Bunyan has seen a number of animated re-tellings. This one is an extremely good example. The same production company is also responsible for The Legend of John Henry, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 1973 and the animation style is very similar with both. It's reminiscent of the old UPA shorts, which is understandable, as Nick Bosustow is the son of Stephen Bosustow, who co-founded UPA and ran it for many years. Well worth hunting for. Recommended.
