- Koca Ali (means "Big" Ali) is an iron-smith who is loyal, honorable and moral. It is known by everyone. Koca Ali was slandered, and as the result, Koca Ali was charged with theft. There is no crime but he cannot prove, Koca Ali's an arm will be cut according to the Sharia provisions. As the law, whichever arm he had stealing, the arm should be cut. Koca Ali is very upset about being accused of theft and facing such slander. However, there are no witnesses who can prove that he is not guilty. Since the judge could not prove that he was not guilty, judge found Koca Ali guilty and decided to cut an arm off him wrist. He must pay a diet so that his arm is not cut. However, it is not possible to find the blood money (means "diyet") that is needed to save the arm from being cut. The people, who were sure that Koca Ali was not guilty, started looking for someone who would pay his blood money so that his arm would not be cut. Butcher Haji Mehmet is forced to pay the blood money of Koca Ali's arm, unable to withstand the pressure of the people. Koca Ali, who pays his blood money, starts working with him to pay his debt to Haji Mehmet. But Butcher Haji Mehmet makes Koca Ali work like a slave by saying "I paid his blood money" at every opportunity and every time to torment him. Koca Ali endures all this for a long time. Because his arm was saved by Butcher Haji Ali and he owes him a great deal of loyalty. . Ultimately, Koca Ali was tired of being under the goodness of Butchers Haji Mehmet's humiliation and frequent perch. He can no longer bear the breach of his dignity and become his slave. He then decides to cut his arm and throw it in front of Haji Mehmet. Haji Mehmet once again had insult on his head. Koca Ali then puts his arm on a log and strikes it with a chopping knife, throwing his arm in front of Haji Mehmet then he says "take the your blood money" and gets freedom.
