U.S. reality show based on the British series "Strictly Come Dancing," where celebrities partner up with professional dancers and compete against each other in weekly elimination rounds to determine a winner.
Carrie Ann Inaba,
The best of the reality series crop is back, with 12 teams of 2 players each racing around the world, trying not to be eliminated at a series of checkpoints in which the last team to arrive is booted from the show. CBS chooses teams with relationships containing at least some tension, especially when the situation involves intense pressure. This season includes such duos as two circus clowns, a gay married couple, a father and son, a recently engaged couple, married couples, and best friends.Written by
After the race ended, Emily and Brennan started dating each other, but broke up after a few months in early 2002.

Frequent continuity errors. It's clear that many scenes were filmed hours or days apart and then edited together with =out consideration for whether or not they visually flowed together. See more »

Even though it is still going on I am enjoying this season of The Amazing Race... So far my favorite season was number 5. The reason for this is that they really went all over the world, Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, Dubai... The family edition is a really good idea, since most of the people that watch the show are families. The only thing that I think they should start doing is to SEND THEM AROUND THE WORLD!! so far it has been only inside the united states, the purpose of the show is for the teams to race around the world. It makes it more interesting! So even though I am enjoying the season I just wish that they would hurry up and go somewhere else other than the States... Really good show though, probably one of the best reality shows ever.
