Possibly appealing for some help after her career went on the rocks, celebrity chef Nigella Lawson may attempt to rebuild her reputation with the help of Oprah Winfrey.
Following her divorce battle with art tycoon Charles Saatchi, the “Nigella Bites” author dealt with harsh media investigation, and the trial she now faces against her former assistants had also revealed her past substance abuse.
During the proceeding, defense lawyer Karina Arden asked the celebrity chef’s assistant, Anzelle Wasserman, "You know, don't you, that Miss Lawson has signed an exclusive agreement with Oprah Winfrey in January?"
Wasserman apparently replied with,"That's not correct," but she was not given the chance to continue. A judge reportedly put an end to the lawyer's question, stating that Miss Lawson herself would be better suited to answer it.

Nigella Lawson and Husband Charles Saatchi Out Together After Throat-Grabbing Incident—See the Pics!
Nigella Lawson and her husband have come to the table together. The Nigella Bites star and art collector Charles Saatchi were out on Sunday at the same London restaurant where, six days beforehand, they were photographed mid-argument and Saatchi is said to have grabbed at his wife's throat. E! News has obtained photos of their sedate-looking reunion at Scott's in Mayfair, which, if nothing else, tells us that they felt no need to shy away from the scene of their caught-on-camera blowup. Saatchi voluntarily met with authorities Monday and accepted a "caution for assault" from the Community Safety Unit at Westminster. A rep for Lawson had no comment on the...

London — Prominent British art collector Charles Saatchi has admitted assault and accepted a police caution after published photos showed him grasping the throat of his wife, celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.
In Tuesday's editions, The London Evening Standard newspaper quoted him as saying that he had approached police to discuss the incident after seeking legal advice.
"Although Nigella made no complaint I volunteered to go to Charing Cross (police) station and take a police caution after a discussion with my lawyer because I thought it was better than the alternative of this hanging over all of us for months," he told the newspaper, where he is also a columnist. He said the questioning took four hours.
Tabloid newspapers this week published photos of the incident, which happened June 9 in a posh London restaurant.
Saatchi, 70, earlier had characterized the incident as a "playful tiff" during an intense debate about the couple's children.

Nigella Lawson needs some space from husband Charles Saatchi -- and she's taking her two kids with her. After the British celeb chef, 53, was photographed crying and looking distraught as Saatchi grabbed her throat during a contentious recent lunch, "she has left the family home with the children," her rep tells Us Weekly of the London-based Nigella Bites star, mom to Cosima and Bruno, her kids with late first husband John Diamond. Adds a source close to Lawson: "We do not know when she will return. [...]...

London — British police said Monday they are investigating newspaper photos that show Nigella Lawson's husband Charles Saatchi with his hands around the celebrity chef's throat.
The pictures drew widespread condemnation after they were published by the Sunday People tabloid. The paper said the images were taken during an argument at a London restaurant on June 9.
Lawson's spokesman, Mark Hutchinson, declined to comment on the images. But Saatchi, Britain's best-known art collector, told London's Evening Standard newspaper that the pictures misrepresented a "playful tiff."
Saatchi, an Evening Standard columnist, said "the pictures are horrific but give a far more drastic and violent impression of what took place."
"About a week ago, we were sitting outside a restaurant having an intense debate about the children, and I held Nigella's neck repeatedly while attempting to emphasize my point," he was quoted as saying. "There was no grip, it was a playful tiff.

LONDON -- Ben Frow, head of features and factual entertainment at Channel 4, has left to become controller of features and entertainment at Channel Five, the companies said Wednesday. Frow, whose Channel 4 shows have included Jamie's Kitchen, How Clean Is Your House? and Nigella Bites, joins its commercial rival, which styles itself simply as Five, in the new year. He will be in charge of all entertainment programming on the channel including series and will develop new entertainment features. "I'm really proud of the contribution I've been able to make to the channel's success over the past five years," said Frow, who joined Channel 4 from the BBC in 1998. "I feel I'm now ready for a fresh challenge." "Ben's a highly individual commissioning editor who's left a distinctive mark on a fantastic array of programming," Channel 4 director of television Kevin Lygo said. "Other channels have clearly copied Channel 4's recent innovations in lifestyle and features programming in the hope of repeating its ratings successes, and much of the credit for that must go to Ben."...
