I taught this story in Middle School. Watched this video about forty times. It's well done in its simplicity. O Henry was always a lot of fun because of the neat twists at the conclusions of his stories. This involves Jimmy Valentine, master safe-cracker. It's about redemption which was always fun to talk about. Of course, it's contrived and predictable, but has a neat little moral.
