H.K.'s DCDC sets 3-D ani feature
HONG KONG -- Hong Kong animation studio DCDC Prods. is planning to make a 3-D martial arts animated feature, DragonBlade, by the end of the 2003. Budgeted at $10 million, the feature is being directed by Australian stunt coordinator Antony Szeto, while Wu Bin, a martial arts master whose previous students include Jet Li, is a consultant on the film. It will be released both in English and Chinese, and was financed by a group of local investors. International distribution rights are still up for grabs. DCDC already has produced one TV series, Butt Ugly Martians, and has another in preproduction.
