Ludovique wanted to spend her holidays with her husband Jean, alone together. But she will have to stand her whole family and relations .

And what a family!what relations! A mother who is a senator,no less;an admiral,a diva (called "La Sangria" played by opera singer Jane Rhodes),not exactly what you call humble ones.It takes place in a desirable property till ...the desperate housewife (her Spanish maid has given in her notice!) meets a hitch-hiker and decides she has a life on her own.So she leaves home ,in a grand woman's lib gesture. But as the title reads "Un Mari C'est Un Mari" (=hubbies will be hubbies).

The vacation of Ludovique.

A pleasant comedy about vacation in family. Ludovique was happy to go on vacation and to spend these days with her husband Jean. But her stay becomes more complicated: the Spanish nanny goes away, a female student of her husband invades the house for some days, her daghter arrives with her child, the opera singer La Sangria spends the 14 th of July with them. And all the work in the kitchen, taking care of a baby, etc. Ludovique breaks down and goes away. She has to escape,to be alone for some days, to be another person.

I enjoyed this comedy : maybe a caricatural description of family holiday , but a pleasant story with a good cast: Frédérique Hébrard, Louis Velle, Marco Perrin, Gisèle Casadesus, Roland Armontel, Jeanne Herviale and Jane Rhodes.
