This MGM short film, part of James A. Fitzpatrick's Traveltalks series, gives the viewer a tour of both modern and ancient Cairo. It stresses the importance of the Nile and fertile delta region of lower Egypt. Many bridges span the important river and cars and camels intermingle. Cairo is more Arabian than Egyptian as a result of foreign conquests and there 300 mosques in Cairo. A visit to the famous pyramids of Giza on the outskirts of the city brings the tour to an end.
