Lots Of Beautiful Women In Little Clothes
boblipton17 January 2022
Top-hatted Bobby Watson declaims his adoration for Joyzelle Joyner, then travels to various times and eras, playing Adam with Eve, Samson with Delilah, and so forth, all to his undoing.

It's an odd little short subject, meant to show off William Cameron Menzies' towering sets and the healthy and enticing forms of the ladies. It's directed by the unpropitiously named O. O. Dull and edited by the unfortunately named D. Marion Staines. Watson is better known from a decade later, when he played Hitler in a lot of movies.

Incredibly dated.

This short with Bobby Watson is very episodic and dated...to the point where I can't see many folks enjoying it today. It is very simple and consists of the top hat wearing Watson traveling throughout time and trying to make time with various seemingly dangerous ladies...such as Lucretia Borgia and Salome. In the process, there is a LOT of singing (much of it operatic style) and no humor. The effect is quite surreal but also not particularly enjoyable. Definitely a product of its times.
