One of the best game shows on TV, especially in how contestants were treated on and off camera. I appeared on the first Season in the 5th Show and as a "returning" contestant the 3rd Season and enjoyed every moment-even though I lost both times! Jim Caldwell was a true professional and very considerate of every contestant, and Blake Pickett one of the sweetest people you would ever meet! When I appeared on the 3rd season-I found Dan Miller to be as genuine as he appeared on TV and as nice! TV lost one of the "good guys" when he passed away. TNN showed network TV you could produce a good game show with contestants that didn't act like morons!

I didn't catch the Caldwell era of this show (although from what I know him and Blake were very good!) but I primarily watched this when Dan Miller and Paige Brown were hosting. The game is very similar to blackjack in a lot of ways, except that an ace counts as one instead of having the choice between one and eleven. Dan Miller is a class act! He has a tremendous heart and has done so much for those around him. The previous poster was spot on about Dan's character. Dan is still heavily involved taking on various projects today - the person the previous poster is thinking of that passed away is the journalist Dan Miller that passed away in 09, which it is still sad to see somebody go!

I was a contestant on the 3rd Season. Really enjoyed being on the show and was treated with respect and courtesy the entire time. Dan Miller was a true professional and such a sweet person. Paige Brown was nice as well and helped everyone feel welcome and comfortable during the taping. The entire team treated all the contestants well both on and off camera. I am proud to have been a part of this show. Made it through to the championship (final) round and it was just luck of the draw of the cards because myself and the other contestant were both doing well. It was a lot of fun and TNN showed up a lot of the other networks by having a game show that was fun and classy!!

I was a contestant on this show when Dan and Paige were hosting it in 1992. My episode was what I call the 3 Ds because the contestants names were myself (Donna), Dave and David. David was the champ. Dave was the band director for Garth Brooks. My baby girl was 6 months at the times and is now 31. I made it all the way to the championship round but as you know even in blackjack, you have no control over how the cards fall. I had no problem answering the questions which were country music based. It just happened that David got a 10 right when he needed it and hit 21. Overall, the game was alot of fun. The whole crew at TNN was amazing and took really good care of everyone. Dan and Paige were both exceptional.
